The moment I stepped inside, I knew this wouldn’t be just a walk, but a true journey underground.
It turns out this was the first cave in Bulgaria to be developed for visitors, back in 1937 — and it shows. Everything is set up so you can fully immerse yourself in this underground world. The labyrinth of galleries and branches is impressive: a full 3,600 meters filled with formations that nature has been sculpting for thousands of years.
I passed through narrow corridors and wider chambers, with the lighting highlighting every curve and every drop.
Places like this are not meant to be rushed.
