Dryanovo Monastery

Today I decided to visit Dryanovo Monastery — a place I had heard so much about. It sits not far from Dryanovo, tucked away among the cliffs.

As I wandered around, I thought back over the monastery’s history — founded in the 13th century, destroyed and rebuilt more than once, yet never losing its spirit. What struck me most was its role during the April Uprising, when fierce battles were fought here.

I stopped in front of the memorial ossuary and stayed there for a while. There was something powerful about this place — a real sense of history.
