Bozhentsi

Bozhentsi welcomed me quietly. I strolled around slowly, in no hurry, and let the place reveal itself to me.

It’s a small Revival-era village nestled in the Balkan Mountains, close to Gabrovo.

It’s known for its authentic stone houses, cobbled lanes, and a perfectly preserved atmosphere from the Bulgarian National Revival.

Being here feels like traveling back in time — quiet, peaceful, and untouched by anything modern.

My visit to Bozhentsi was short, but unforgettable.
