The town has a long history — it is believed to date back to the 12th century, and during the Bulgarian Revival it grew into an important center of crafts and trade.
Walking through the streets, I noticed plenty of old houses that still hold the spirit of the past. One of them really stood out to me — it was built without a single nail, a testament to the skill of the old Bulgarian master builders.
Dryanovo is also known as the birthplace of the famous Bulgarian master builder Kolyu Ficheto, born here in 1800.
