When I visited Arapovo Monastery, I felt a silence and a strength that are hard to put into words. Located near Asenovgrad, this monastery was built in 1856 as an entirely new one — not on old foundations, which made it unique for its time.
What impressed me most is that it was built with funds from Angel Voivode — the legendary protector of the Rhodope region. Standing in the courtyard, I realized this place carries not only history, but also a spirit of faith and courage.
