The Village of Fakiya

Fakiya is a picturesque village in Strandzha, close to Turkey.

It has a long history and is linked to the legendary voivode Momchil.

During Ottoman rule, the village was known by the name Omur Fakih.

It’s also famous for its Roman tombs, the ancient road known as the Drum, and its unique folk costumes.
