Sinaia

After breakfast we checked out of the hotel and headed for Sinaia.

Already on the road into town, I was struck by the beautiful views of the Carpathians.

Sinaia truly lives up to its reputation as one of the most beautiful mountain destinations in Romania.

What impressed me most was Sinaia Monastery, founded in the 16th century by Mihail Cantacuzino. The place carried a special atmosphere — silence, spirituality and history preserved through the centuries. The beautiful frescoes and the old architecture let me sink completely into the spirit of the past.

Afterwards I also had the chance to see the famous Sinaia Casino.
