Today I’ll show you a beautiful historic town in the county of Suffolk — Bury St Edmunds.
This time the weather didn’t get to show off its English character — cold, rain, and wind.
But as they say — once you’re soaked, you stop fearing the rain.
In the photos you can see the gardens and the ruins of the Benedictine abbey.
It was one of the largest and richest of its time in England — from its founding in 1020 until its dissolution in 1539.
I was impressed by how well the great Norman tower from the 14th century has been preserved, almost in its entirety.
