The Blue Nile Falls, known in Amharic as Tis Issat (‘The Smoking Water’), is one of the most impressive natural sights in Ethiopia.
It lies near the city of Bahir Dar, on the Blue Nile River, which flows out of Lake Tana.
Height: around 37–45 meters, with a width of up to 400 meters during the rainy season.
Waterfalls really do carry a special feeling — calm, power, and freedom all at once.
