Plovdiv

At last — the oldest continuously inhabited city in Europe, and the sixth oldest in the world.

Older than Rome itself.

The last time I visited this city, I was 12 years old.

I always knew I’d see it again someday.

It’s Bulgaria’s second-largest city after the capital, Sofia.

Plovdiv has a long and rich history — Thracians, Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans, and Bulgarians. It’s known for its countless archaeological finds. The city is the cultural capital of Bulgaria.
